Color Choices

Color Choices. You have two methods to choose your color:

(1) Standard Colors. Select a color name in the drop-down selection list for no extra charge. Standard colors known by professional designers are listed. "Standard" power coat finishes are solid colors. Powder coat "Hand" finishes are powder coated then color is overlaid by hand onto the base powder coat finish to give a textured or antiqued look. (2) Custom Colors. There is an additional charge for custom colors.

About Wrought Iron

The wrought-iron is truly hand-wrought iron, not the inferior "decorative" or "ornamental" machine-made products seen elsewhere. The hand-wrought iron is more labor-intensive and produces a sturdier product.

Powdercoating helps to make your Armillary, Large weather-resistent. Powdercoating is a process of bonding a color finish to metal that helps to protect from rusting process. The color powder is attached to the metal by one of several methods such as electrostatic or blowing. Due to the nature of the powder, it can't get into all tiny places where the piece is welded. The color is then bonded to the metal with heat. Many designers prefer rusting in small areas for an antiqued look. To inhibit the rusting process of your Armillary, Large, periodically apply a rust protector (obtained from your local hardware or paint store).
