Workmanship

Solid materials mean stablity and resistance to the weather. This Solar Totem No. 1 Statue lasts decades without rusting. Many are sold to ocean-front homes and the salt spray does not affect the finish.

All surfaces are cleaned to the shiny bare metal then flame-sprayed with zinc (except rust COR-TEN® steel which is an authentic rust patina). Marine fabricators use flame-sprayed zinc to the iron metals for an coating that helps to prevent rusting.

An epoxy paint is applied to the Solar Totem No. 1 Statue. A manual dry brush technique might be used for a final faux finish. We are told that none of these products had to be refinished due to rusting.
