Sundials are the oldest type of clocks dating to ancient times. Archaelogical evidence suggests that a few, if any, sundials marked the seasons and seasonal hours in Greece before 300 B.C. and possibly in acnient Egypt around 1800-1200 B.C. Before the clock, almost every town had their own community sundial. Now, sundials are used more for elegant functional ornaments.

Sundials are enjoyed in any setting, from backyards to parks. They can be a focal garden ornament or as part of entryways into buildings. Wherever they are used, sundials are an intriguing piece of decoration.

The Sunny Hours Sundial is hand-cast from recycled aluminum with 60 years of experience. The metal is hand cleaned of burrs then hand painted with weather-tested paints. The paint is formulated and baked onto the to withstand harsh weather.

The manufacturer will replace all defective parts. A defective return goods authroization from Gardecor®, Inc. dba Garlander™ is required.
